who we are
what we do
Impact Partners Ukraine is a US-based 501(c)(3) organization staffed entirely by volunteers who have supported humanitarian operations in Ukraine since Russia's full-scale invasion began.
Working directly alongside Ukrainian organizations, we identify and partner with the most competent, dedicated, and adaptable local groups to support vulnerable civilians near the frontlines in the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
Our focus includes evacuation, resettlement, rehabilitation, and reintegration efforts. As a small, nimble organization, we fill critical gaps that larger NGOs cannot adequately address, anticipating partner needs and securing targeted funding and resources with rapid response capabilities.
Beyond material support, we work to deepen American understanding of Ukrainian culture and history while fostering lasting commitments to Ukraine's future through direct, personal connections between our supporters and the communities we serve.

Our Story
When Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, our founder traveled to the Romanian-Ukrainian border to witness the crisis firsthand rather than simply donating to large NGOs. Beginning as Country Director for the Romanian-founded NGO "In God's Hand," they initiated over two and a half years of continuous humanitarian work that evolved from border refugee assistance to establishing food kitchens serving thousands of internally displaced persons in Chernivtsi, and supporting frontline communities just five miles from active combat in Toretsk, Donetsk Oblast.
Operations expanded to include daily kitchen programs, community centers, heating stove installations for winter survival, revival of a local bakery, and coordination of supply networks across the most hazardous regions of eastern Ukraine. When Toretsk fell to Russian forces in 2024, his team conducted emergency evacuation operations under direct fire, then shifted focus to evacuation support, transforming an abandoned elementary school into a 200-bed shelter for evacuees. Through this extensive fieldwork, it became clear that the existing organizational structure was no longer serving the Ukraine mission effectively. Impact Partners Ukraine was established in May 2025 as the natural evolution of this work, with all existing programs, partnerships, and community relationships transferring seamlessly to ensure uninterrupted service while enhancing our capacity to address critical humanitarian needs. Twenty months of working in wartime Ukraine provided our founder with a unique vantage point from which to identify truly exceptional collaborators. Despite IPUA’s recent formation, this firsthand experience enables us to partner exclusively with proven entities whose dedication matches our own. Our partners—all volunteers like ourselves—have demonstrated their competence under pressure and, through direct collaboration, shown remarkable commitment to humanitarian principles even in the most challenging circumstances.
