Evacuation Shelter
In the war-torn Donetsk Region, just 20 miles from active combat zones, our evacuation shelter in Duzhkivka stands as a beacon of safety for Ukraine's most vulnerable civilians. Housed in a converted elementary school, this facility provides critical refuge for up to 200 evacuees—primarily women with children, elderly residents, and those with disabilities or serious illnesses who cannot flee the fighting independently. Operating as a fully self-sufficient sanctuary, the shelter generates its own power and heat while serving as the primary destination for volunteer organizations and military units conducting civilian evacuations from the most dangerous areas.
